I haven't been all that happy with my username for a couple of months now; first of all, it's boring, and secondly, it tells everyone what my name is and which year I was born in - and I didn't really want everyone to know that at first glance! So I've decided to move, and my journal can now be found at theflyingroman .

The username is taken from one of my favourite songs from one of my favourite bands, namely Little Blue by the Beautiful South. It contains a line that goes,

You don't call a plane the Flying Roman
'Cause the Romans always walked and never flew

I just love that line, because it's a play on words on so many levels (which wows me completely /end nerdiness). On top of that, it reminds me of one of my favourite scenes in Asterix and Obelix - The Big Fight, where that Roman legionnaire drinks Getafix' potion and starts flying around, accompanied by a little owl that seems to have taken quite a liking to him. There, now you know why.

So if someone randomly friends you (or joins your community), it might be me - I'd be happy if you added me back! :)
